13 Burgers, 1 Beer at L.A. Weekly’s Burgers & Beer | The Burger Crawl – Ep. 29 Quincy James Freeman20 August 2015048 views L.A. Weekly's has hosted the first ever Burgers and Beer Festival in Los Angeles, at least to my knowledge. There were over 35 different burger restaurants and craft breweries represented at the festival held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on August 8, 2015. I tried 13 different burger sliders, and one beer. 😀 Sandra's Tastemade Channel – https://www.tastemade.com/@heysandra The Venice Whalter's IG – https://www.instagram.com/thevenicewhaler SUBCRIBE!!! – http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=Cuethecritic The Burger Crawl – http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3Dju8d3K4jm2KnmuRSV7QsX3bkWHxbTZ https://www.instagram.com/cuethecritic | https://fb.me/cuethecritic 13 Burgers sliders and 1 Craft Beer is what I tried at L.A. Weekly's first annual Burgers and Beer Festival. The event was held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and proved to be one of my favorite festivals of the season; not dethroning Bacon & Barrels, of course. Prior to knowing about Burgers and Beer, and on the cusp of starting my YouTube channel (and this series: The Burger Crawl), I thought I would be the first to bring a burger #FoodFestival to Los Angeles. Maybe one day I will or LA Weekly will let me help with their's. No matter what the future holds, I truly enjoyed the experience. Bone Marrow Burger for Dogs on Deployment | The Burger Crawl – Ep. 27 Quincy James Freeman4 August 2015042 views The Bone Marrow Burger features a brandt beef patty, bone marrow pistachio & peanut butter, sliced blue cheese, balsamic reduced onions, arugula, shoestring truffle fries, and garlic aioli on a brioche roll. Dogs on Deployment is a non-profit that offers a foster home to dogs of military personnel while overseas. The Bone Marrow Burger [aptly named for the benefit dogs] helps a worthy cause, and the irony is that the peanut butter flavor is the prominent. While dogs like peanut butter a lot, I do not. To say the burger is bad would be a disservice and a lie. It is not a bad burger, it is merely one that I am not particularly fond of; however you may be, so try if i were you. The restaurant opened some 53 years ago, and Michael came aboard about 10 years later. He has overseen and maintained this old school-styled diner, and made it something worth trying. I indulge in a classic American cheese cheesburger, and delicious pumpkin pie. Later in the video Michael gives us a brief history of the restaurant. Hope you guys enjoy. Pie ‘n Burger 913 E. Savage Burger at Oh My Burger L.A. | The Burger Crawl – Ep. 21 Quincy James Freeman18 May 2015038 views In the 21 episodes I have done so far, no burger has excited me more than the Savage Burger at Oh My Burger L.A. Owner and chef Brandyn Powell started the restaurant with his fiancee Danielle about 4 years ago. I had the pleasure of meeting them, and attempting their 6LB OMB Burger Challenge which I failed. At the time the place was very new, and chef Brandyn was very inexperienced. Coming back some years later, and trying them again has completely changed my very outspoken opinion. The Savage Burger is delicious, flavorful, and quite mindblowing. There is a voicemail to prove it if you want to hear it. To my subscribers, and new viewers if there is a burger place that I insist you must try in Los Angeles, it is Oh My Burger. To chef Brandyn and Danielle, I extremely proud of what you all have done, and from where you all have come. Keep up the good work, and I honestly believe you can attain the #2 spot in my burger world. Hodad’s is #1 and will be until further notice.
