Cue the Critic runs on my own money and nobody else’s. Every meal, every trip, and every hour spent writing gets paid for before a single word goes up. If a review or a story has been useful to you, or you just want to see more of it happen, this is where you can help.
What this is (and isn’t)
This isn’t a subscription. It doesn’t unlock anything: no paywalled reviews, no early access, no ad-free version of a site that was already light on ads to begin with. It isn’t a donation to a nonprofit either — Cue the Critic isn’t one, and support here isn’t tax-deductible. It’s a tip: send five dollars or fifty or nothing at all, and you get the same site either way.
Does this change what gets covered?
No. Support doesn’t get a restaurant a better review, doesn’t get a business covered, and doesn’t buy influence over anything written here. When a piece involves a comped meal, an invitation, or a sponsorship, that’s disclosed on the piece itself — see the editorial independence policy for how that works. Supporting the site and being covered by the site are two things that never touch.

Zelle doesn’t have a universal app link the way Cash App does. Open your own banking app, choose Zelle, and send to the recipient below — or scan the QR if your bank’s app supports it.

If you already have Cash App installed, that button takes about ten seconds. If it asks you to sign in or download the app first, just follow its own checkout instructions. Zelle works through whichever bank you already use, so there’s no separate app to install — but not every bank supports it, and Cue the Critic can’t see which one you use.
The fine print
- Support is processed through Cash App or Zelle, depending on which you choose. Cash App support goes to Cue the Critic’s business account; Zelle support goes to Quincy Freeman directly, since Zelle doesn’t offer separate business profiles the way Cash App does. This site never sees or stores your card, bank, or account details — that’s handled entirely by Cash App or your bank, under their own privacy policies and terms of service.
- The Cash App button and QR take you to cash.app, off this site. Zelle happens entirely inside your own banking app — this site never opens Zelle directly.
- Both QR codes shown here are the real, official codes generated by Cash App and Zelle for this account — not recreated or redrawn.
- Support is voluntary and treated as final. It isn’t a purchase of goods or services, a membership, or a charitable donation, and it isn’t tax-deductible.

- If something looks wrong with a charge, get in touch and it’ll get looked into — but refunds happen through Cash App or your bank’s Zelle support, not this site.
