Why I made it
Plenty of people visit or move to Los Angeles, end up somewhere that doesn’t represent us, and decide the food scene isn’t here. I was born in LA, and I’d rather show you where I would send you than argue about it. This is that guide.
What you get
Places across the city, and for each one you get what to order and my take. When I’ve written about a place, the post is linked right on its card.
It starts in South Central, where I’m from, and moves out from there:

LA is big and the traffic is real, so don’t try to do it all in one trip. Pick the one near you, or the one you’re driving to anyway.
