Cedar Falls, Iowa, has the emptiest airport I’ve ever seen: nine in the morning and nobody there. My rental was filthy.
The day was me trying to eat better and the road not cooperating. The first Pilot had no food, so I got electrolytes, water and an apple. Lunch at Iowa 80 was a buffet-style rib. Not that bad, for a buffet rib.
In Westfield, Indiana, I picked up my car and planned to get a salad. The salad place closed before I got there. I ended up at Burger King, and 40 miles from home I couldn’t wait, so I pulled over behind a Target semi on the side of the road and ate.
That’s how it goes when you drive for a living. Back at it Monday.

Some meals here are on me, some are hosted. Either way, it is disclosed and the score is mine. If this helped you decide where to eat, a coffee helps keep it going.
