No fluff, no frills at Burger Lords. Just a simple, and well executed burger.
Burger Lords sits in Chinatown, and the double cheeseburger is the move: melted cheese oozing everywhere in the best way, the kind of gooey you’d get off a food truck built entirely around the concept. Underneath it, a well-charred patty, raw onions, lettuce, nothing dressed up. It’s a mom-and-pop burger in the truest sense: no fusion, no gimmick, just the basics done right.
The shoestring fries hold up too: thin, crisp, salted well. Together it’s a genuinely great lunchtime burger, and a reminder that you don’t need to reinvent the hamburger to make a good one. If I had one note, it’d be more bite on the onions, something with real punch, but that’s a small complaint against an otherwise excellent, no-frills burger. I probably should’ve ordered two.
