Wreckless Eating Russian roulette, chocolate edition. Matt Zion ran it, and the table was Rosen, Tom, Christina, Val and me. One of the chocolates had Carolina Reaper sea salted caramel inside, from Carter Lee at California Blazing Chile Farm.
Tom came in undefeated. They call him the Tom-er Taker because he has never lost one of these. Before we even picked, somebody at the table called it: Cue is going down.
Three, two, one, whole thing in. Then everybody sat there checking their own mouth, trying to figure out if they were safe. A couple of people swore theirs was a little hot. It was Val. Val got the reaper and gave us almost no reaction.
Tom stays undefeated. And I didn’t go down.
