Some 7-Elevens in California carry the Mexican versions of snacks, so we put American Fritos up against two from Mexico: Limón y Sal and Chile y Limón.
Original Fritos split the table. Some of us love them; others think they’re overrated, just corn and salt that need a dip. The Mexican chips are much thicker and denser. Limón y Sal tasted like the originals with a little lime on them, and they were better than the originals. Chile y Limón had the most flavor of the three, and that’s where the table landed.
