It’s like a beer milkshake! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, what am I saying? It is a beer milkshake!!!
It’s chocolate mint chips, Guinness Beer and ice cream. Do I really need to say anything else? Seriously? Do I? Get down to Slater’s 50/50 and get some!
The best part about drinking this is the creaminess of the shake and those random, but not-so-random, bites of chocolate chip that creep up on you like a thief in the night. They catch you off guard a bit [or I am just a glutton and drink too fast], I choked on one once as I gulped it down between bites of whatever the burger of the month was during that particular visit. Now I am not much of a beer drinker, but for those who are, there is a hint and aftertaste of beer that is very noticeable; It struck me as odd a little. As you are drinking the shake, it taste like a shake; but the beer aftertaste takes some getting used to.
Maybe beer milkshakes aren’t your thing? No bother. Slater’s 50/50 has over 100 Craft, Domestic and Imported Beers available. It is a great place to have a good beer, watch the game and enjoy a good gourmet burger (there will be a blog on the burgers later).
