After a long haul, I took a $38 motel room in Emporia, Kansas, instead of sleeping in the RV, and found dinner at Spangles. You get what you pay for with the room, but dinner was a find.
I got the parmesan bacon burger on sourdough. The patty was a regular burger patty, nothing special; the bacon was fine, and the parmesan comes through strong on the back end. Pretty good.
The fries were the best thing I ate. Golden brown, crispy outside and soft in the center, exactly how a fry should be. These fries are fire.
The orange slush was all syrup at first and got better as it melted. Spangles is a good place, and I’d stop again. I did, a few days later.
