The Cheesecake Factory’s cake batter strawberry royale pudding, from Walmart for about $3.50 a pack: cake batter pudding over a sweet strawberry purée. There were also chocolate and salted caramel versions.
The pudding alone is good, and with the strawberry it’s better. It tastes like the Gerber vanilla pudding baby food some of us remember. Mostly fives around the table.
One holdout at a four: the pudding has a weird, chemical, tapioca-type aftertaste.
