My directions got scrambled, and instead of going through Indianapolis I ended up in East St. Louis, about four hours from my drop-off. The Pilot I stopped at had an Arby’s, and it was Gobbler season.
Lots of places do a Thanksgiving sandwich every year, from Capriotti’s Bobbie to Wawa’s. Arby’s version has fried turkey, cranberry sauce, dressing and crispy onion straws.
It’s a good sandwich. The turkey was moist, the cranberry comes in at the end, and the dressing tastes like boxed stuffing, which is fine. The onion straws are the best part, super crispy.
I slept at the Pilot, dropped the unit in the morning and headed back to Bristol, Indiana, for the next one.

Some meals here are on me, some are hosted. Either way, it is disclosed and the score is mine. If this helped you decide where to eat, a coffee helps keep it going.
