Somewhere in the middle of Nebraska, the Iron Skillet at the Petro in York gave me what might be my favorite meal on the road so far. Two pork chops, broccoli, a dinner roll and a Caesar salad came to about $20.
I ordered the salad to prove I was trying. It was mostly lettuce and croutons, and I didn’t like the dressing, so I didn’t finish it. The salty broccoli was my fault: I shook the salt too hard while holding the phone in my other hand.
The pork chops were the best part. They came out steaming and juicy, not dry at all. That’s good quality for a truck stop. The roll was a buttery cloud, and I dragged it through the broccoli butter anyway.
I finished everything and walked out content, not stuffed or sleepy. If you stop at the Petro in York, get the pork chops.

Some meals here are on me, some are hosted. Either way, it is disclosed and the score is mine. If this helped you decide where to eat, a coffee helps keep it going.
