Grant Grill, where the bread will make you stay!

I’m not a big bread eater, but this bread is not only picture worthy; it is amazing. The Focaccia Bread at GRANT Grill is baked fresh daily.  When you receive it, you would think it had come directly from the oven to your table and right into your mouth.  The bread is lightly seasoned with sea salt and rosemary; butter is served on the side.  The crust is firm and has a contrasting texture to the soft, pillow-like, center.  I take a slice and it is as light as a feather in my hand.  Splitting it down the center and spreading the softened butter, I am impressed before even taking my first bite.  This bread will make you eager to try it.

My date and I arrived at The U.S. Grant Hotel, where Grant Grill is located.  I had my reservations because I usually am not a fan of restaurants inside of hotels.  We debated on canceling our OpenTable reservation in favor of going somewhere else; possibly to BICE or NOBU.  Once the waiter described the Focaccia Bread to us, I was intrigued by his explanation.  Once the bread arrived, there was no way I would leave Grant Grill.  This decision turned out to be the best dinner decision I had made in a while.

Focaccia Bread @ GRANT Grill

The crust of the bread is toasty while the center is soft and moist as you chew it. Take a slice and spread a bit of butter on it and your mouth enters a heavenly oasis of bread heaven.
