On this week's episode of The Burger Crawl, I am joined my fellow YouTuber, Steven Sievert. After about two or so months, he and I finally make it out to a long overdue lunch/dinner filming session. This shoot turns out to be the most rouge, and guerilla style filming on my channel to date. I had the Big Boy Burger, and Steven had the Mexican Burger from Burgers N Brews in Santa Monica, CA. Slater's 50/50's August 2016 Burger of the month is the Pickled Hog. It is a burger inspired by a young lady known as Warrior Princess Phia. Keeping with tradition, the August burger at Slater's 50/50 is a charity burger. This year's charity is Sons of Charity out of California. They are raising money to benefit children with pediatric cancer. Princess Phia, a child suffering with cancer had the opportunity to go to Slater's test kitchen, and create a burger. Slater's 50/50's July 2016 Burger of the Month is the 'Merica 3.0 Burger. It features a 100% Ground bacon patty, bacon American cheese, BBQ spiced bacon, a Frank's Red Hot Sauce dipped hot link sausage, sriracha bacon slaw, bacon baked beans, bread & butter pickles, onion strings, and honey mustard served on Texas Toast. I enjoyed the burger up until the point where the salt from the bacon patties overwhelmed me. Despite the ding I gave the sandwich in the video, it should be noted that I ordered the 2/3lb, which has two full 100% bacon patties instead of one. So basically what I am saying is that the ding is kind of my fault because I added an extra patty that would not have normally been there.
